As I cannot be bothered to start every post with a disclaimer about generalisation, word usage and semantics to every nit picker. Here goes my guide which is what you should have leanred in GSCE English Language/ that thing called ‘the real world’.
A Guide For Trolls and the common sense deprived:
Generalisation: Yes sometimes I’m guilty of it, everyone is. Please use COMMON SENSE when reacting to such words and terms as ‘men’ and ‘the patriarchy’ . See also Context
Context: Is everything, it is your friend and a good indicator of meaning. See also Generalisation
Figurative vs Literal : This blog is aimed at those with a reasonable command of the English langauge and thus relies on the readers interpretation based on such things as context and content. Do not come crying to me if you can’t figure it out.
Opinion vs Fact: This blog is an OPINION piece, it has never claimed to be fact. Statsitics and facts will be presnted and such and references will be provided. (If I can be arsed, but really I’m not writng for an academic journal here so go figure).
Bias: This is a FEMINIST blog, therefore if you are anti feminist, it’s likely you ain’t gonna agree. Different folks belive differnt things, I am staing my opinion you’re welcome tp yours but pointless trolling will not be looked upon kindly and will be seen as evidence of your own shortcommings and pathetic existence.
Sarcasm: This blog is full of it; it pains me deeply when people do not notice this.
A Note about spelling: I am dyslexic, my spell-checker does not always work. Sometimes I misspell things; this is not a reflection upon my intelligence. However any derogatory comments will be seen a reflection upon your intelligence and dutifully ignored and/or chastised.
